Description: If you just aren't getting along with Microsoft lately, I highly recommend trying Ubuntu Linux. The "Live CD" I demonstrate here runs ENTIRELY from the CD - it doesn't touch your hard drive - so if you don't like it, or it doesn't work with your wireless card or whatever - just take the CD out and reboot and you're back to where you were before you tried it. Cooooooool or what? :-)

morfeene2 ::: Favorites Hmmmm.....when you boot, you should fairly quickly get a menu as you say....both options do the same thing at this stage - it should then whirr around for a while & you should get the desktop - brown with a menu bar along the top and a couple of icons on the desktop. If you don't get that, you're out of luck. If you do, then Ubuntu is running - best not to click the "install" icon until you've played with it for some time. DaveStuckInOklahoma ::: Favorites got a question, watched this video, downloaded and burnt the iso to cd, when i boot from cd, it starts up to run or install, when i choose either one, it just sits there, doesnt do anything. what shall i do? also, if i were to install, would anything on my hard drive be at risk of being lost? should i back up files? thanks! 07-10-19 21:26:29 __________________________________________________
