Description: The title is kind of self-explainitory... I am performing Bloch's Suite Hebraique and Hindemith's Sonate for solo viola. I first appologize for the quality of the recording, and secondly for my playing...I can do much better, but this is my first attempt at recording so and getting feedback... Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated! Thanks for watching! |

violalin ::: Favorites you sound quite lovely in lots of places, but speed the video up - the music stand is falling throughout the thing! it's quite an amusing addition :) 07-08-03 00:27:33 __________________________________________________
ohdannyb0i ::: Favorites Don't forget that professionals, including free lancers, still perform and rehearse in addition to their 3 hours (mininum, mind you) of practice a day. It takes discipline and good technique (to avoid tendonitus) but that's what it takes and you just get used to it. 07-07-31 19:11:57 __________________________________________________
mapleleafgal ::: Favorites (comment was too long and had to post it in parts) but, if you want something cheaper and sooner, then i'd still recomned contacting a few local makers. you can make a 16" viola that has a shorter neck/string length that will be better for your small hands. i dont know where you live, but there is another maker in chicago, fred thompson, that i highly recommend. another teacher of mine at the violin making school. 07-07-17 03:09:50 __________________________________________________
mapleleafgal ::: Favorites i do not know if you have already upgraded violas, but i wanted to suggest tschu ho lee (in chicago) as a person to make you a viola. he makes a 15 3/4" viola that is amazing in sound. i was a student of his at his violin making school. the only problem is that you are looking at close to $20k and about a 5 year waiting list. but worth it, i think. 07-07-17 03:09:20 __________________________________________________ |
