Description:

RACISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION The soulful, timeless grace and presence of whales represent the very mystery of nature itself. Japan uses a loophole to kill whales with explosive harpoons under the guise of "scientific research" while selling the whale meat. Learn how you can save whales from such a cruel end. For more information on how to help stop this needless cruelty visit http://www.greenpeace.org/ or http://www.ifaw.org/ or http://www.seashepard.org/ © Copyright AnimalLib Productions 2006. So don't compare the two. You've warned me before against it, yet you do the same.

No thats not what I'm saying... the arguement was that humans are the only animals on this planet that kill for hell of it. I used cats as an example of another animal that will kill for shear enjoyment. But I do not believe that cats are near as intelligent as humans. In fact I find cats rather stupid. :)

Cats are not people. I've heard you argue before, you've argued that animals are stupid. Now you're saying that cats should be held to the same standard as humans in terms of brain development? You can't have it both ways, it doesn't work like that.

I can't agree with the violence of Sea Shepherd at any circumstances. That's only the environmental terrorism.

That may be but what is wrong with that besides ethics? just because you FEEL that it is wrong doesn't mean everyone feels that way. You're not gonna get your point across by backing it with ethics. have you ever seen a cat play with a live mouse? What is the purpose of the way the cat tosses it around and taunts it? Is it not for enjoyment? So I guess cats are evil then right?

I'm not talking about new species. Other species take their place in the ecosystem... nature balances itself out. Now I have enjoyed this little debate but you're starting to sound like some omnicient asshole who hasn't ever had a bad idea. Don't try to cram your environmentalist, vegetarian, or hippie views down peoples throats. It'll get you nothing but hostility in return. So do you wanna discuss this or just insult people.

Species do not just "jump into another's place". Do you really think they just spontaneously appear?? And most of my comments were actually directed at that moron, Janet928, but you are stepping in nicely to fill her vile shoes. Just because man CAN kill everything in the world does NOT mean man SHOULD kill everything.

Yes, actually all mammals ARE sentient beings. Sentient: having the power of perception by the senses; conscious. All mammals have a nervous system and a brain, hence they are all inherently sentient. And NO, the animal predators kill to survive. Man kills for fun, for convenience, for pleasure, for sport, for food. Man is the ONLY species that indiscrimantly kills just for the hell of it.

So being a mammal automatically makes something a "sentient being"? How do you figure that? So going with ur reasoning lions, hawks and all predators are the devil. But do they feel remorse from surviving? No, just because humans have become so good at surviving doesnt mean we are monsters.

Well thank you all knowing one for correcting me. Yes, man does have a knack for causng the exticntion of species but what happens after a species goes extinct? Another one jumps into its place. My point is that by regulating how species effect each other, our own selves included, we cause evolution to come to an un healthy stand still.
