hwd2244 ::: Favorites OK, I am not going to come on here like most people do and tell you that this is stupid. The fact is that if you choose not to believe in God then that is your right. My only questions is, why as an Atheist, do you spend so much time, disputing something that you say doesn't exist?? That is the real questions. 07-07-08 01:54:31 _____________________________________________________
kozborn ::: Favorites So what? I can give a similiar list of philosophers and scientistw who were atheists. 07-07-08 17:11:24 _____________________________________________________
ConformityKillsSouls ::: Favorites You know what I immediately noticed about most of the people on this list? Almost all with the exception of William Thomson Kelvin, Max Planck, and Albert Einstein predate Darwin's "Origin of Species". There are not a whole lot of Post-Darwin scientists who are able to reconcile their knowledge of evolution with belief in a god. 07-07-12 20:49:49 _____________________________________________________
ConformityKillsSouls ::: Favorites As for Einstein, well Spinoza's god doesn't really meet today's definition of what a god is. Spinoza simply described his god as "nature." However it is clear that Einstein did not believe in a personal god that even cared about the fate or affairs of humans or any sort of afterlife for that matter. He also made it very clear that he is not religious. So to say that he "firmly denied atheism" is really quite unfair. 07-07-12 20:50:42 _____________________________________________________
